Information you provide
If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use them to review your inquiry and respond. A message does not sign you up for marketing. If you comment, your chosen public name and comment may be visible to other readers after moderation; your email address is not intentionally displayed in the comment.
Hosting and site services
The site uses WordPress.com hosting and Jetpack services, including site statistics and spam protection. These services may process technical data such as IP address, browser information, pages visited and interactions, and may use cookies. Their processing is described in Automattic’s visitor privacy notice and cookie policy. Service providers may process data in countries other than yours.
Use, sharing and retention
We use submitted information to operate the site, answer messages, correct content and manage abuse. We do not sell contact messages or use their email addresses for an unsolicited mailing list. Hosting, form and spam-protection providers process information as part of providing these functions. Information may also need to be retained or disclosed to meet applicable legal obligations.
We retain correspondence while it is needed to handle an inquiry and maintain a relevant record. Approved comments may remain with their article. Provider logs and backups follow the provider’s retention practices. You can request deletion of information you submitted; some records may need to be retained for security or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can read the blog without sending a message or commenting. Your browser lets you manage cookies, although blocking them may affect site functions. Use the contact page to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you supplied. We may need to confirm that a request comes from the person concerned.
Advertising and external links
We have not activated Google AdSense or affiliate tracking links. If that changes, we will update the relevant disclosures and privacy information. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This notice applies to Simply Onward, not those other sites.
